Group program · Six weeks

You got promoted.
Nobody handed you the manual.

Lead Together is a small group coaching program for first-time managers who are done working it out alone at eleven at night.

The gap

The part nobody prepares you for

Management is not a harder version of your old job. It is a different job, and most people are handed it with a title and a calendar invite.

Your old team is now your team

Yesterday you complained about management together. Today you write their reviews. Nobody explains how to hold both of those.

You are the layer in the middle

Your director wants the number. Your team wants a straight answer. You are translating in both directions, all day, usually alone.

The old skills stopped scaling

You were promoted for doing the work well. The job now is choosing what gets done, and that is a skill nobody taught you.

What we cover

Six weeks, six situations you are already in

Every session takes one real problem from the room and works it until you have something you can use on Monday.

Week one

Own the transition

Moving from peer to lead without pretending nothing changed, and without overcorrecting into someone your team does not recognise.

Week two

Expectations that hold

The conversation that prevents most of what goes wrong three months later. We write yours in the session.

Week three

Feedback without the dread

How to say the hard thing while it is still small, in words you would actually use out loud.

Week four

Delegate and leave it delegated

What to hand over, what to keep, and how to stop quietly taking it back at the end of the week.

Week five

Managing the person above you

Getting your team what it needs from someone whose attention is already spoken for.

Week six

Your first review cycle

Walking into it prepared instead of improvising, with the evidence you should have been collecting since week one.

How it runs

A working session, not a lecture

Ninety minutes, weekly

Live on video, same slot every week, so it holds a place in your calendar.

Eight people

Small enough that you speak in every session and get known by the room.

You bring the situation

Real problems from your week. We work them in front of everyone, because everyone has one.

A thread between calls

A private group thread with Maya for the thing that comes up on a Tuesday.

Fit

Worth being honest about

This is for you if

  • You moved into your first management role in the last year or so.
  • You have a real team and a real problem to bring on week one.
  • You would rather practise something than take notes about it.

This is not for you if

  • You want a certificate for the wall.
  • You want recordings to watch later. The calls are not recorded, and that is the point.
  • You already manage other managers. You would be teaching this room, not learning in it.

Who runs it

I managed teams for nine years before I started coaching them. The first year was the hardest, and it was hard for reasons nobody had named for me yet.

Lead Together is the program I wanted then. Small, live, and built around the situation you are actually sitting in this week rather than the one in the textbook.

From the last cohort

What people said after week six

I came in with one problem and left with a way to handle the next five. The group was the part I did not expect to need.
Priya S.Engineering lead
Week three was uncomfortable, and it was the most useful hour of my quarter. I finally said the thing I had been avoiding for a month.
Daniel K.Operations manager
Eight people meant I could not sit quietly at the back. That is exactly why it worked on me.

Questions

Before you decide

What happens if I miss a week?

You get the notes and prompts, and you bring the topic to the next call. The sessions are not recorded, which is what keeps people willing to say the real thing in them.

Do I need a big team?

No. Two direct reports is enough to have every problem this program is about.

How much work is there outside the calls?

About an hour a week. Less when work is heavy, and nobody is checking.

Can my employer pay for it?

Yes. Ask for an invoice at checkout and one will be issued in your company name.

You do not have to work this out alone.
